Hi Italo! I tend to lose a lot of bass when they jump and shake their head. Any tips on how to prevent them from throwing the hook out Thanks!
Posted on May 25th, 2013Hi Angler…Yes, when you set the hook, you have to set it firmly enough so that at least one hook goes past the barb into a part of the fishes mouth. Once the barb is in the fish, it cannot throw it. To do this effectively you a stiffer fishing rod helps, to have the drag tighter, and espeially if you use a “no-strech” line, like the Sufix 832 braided line…God bless you, Italo
