Hi Italo I love rock bass fishing. Is it possible that you could point me to an area of lakes where I can catch these beautiful fish please?Posted on January 21st, 2019
Hi George, winter time is not a good time to target rock bass. Best time to fish for them is end of April and through May when they are close to shorelines and preparing to spawn. One of my favorite areas to fish for them is in Cook’s Bay, Lake Simcoe, ON along the outer rocks that create the Keswick, ON marina break-wall. Small crankbaits and 1/8 oz. jigs with 1-2″ plastic grubs work well fished on an ultralight or light action spinning outfit.
