Hi Italo, I know that you like “classic vibrax” spinners for trout but what about “vibrax shallow” spinners and trout?

Hi Dako, I find the Vibrax Shallow series is good for smallmouth & smaller pike and smaller trout since the blade is larger/lighter and to get the right action they need to be reeled a little slower than the Classic Vibrax series.

I find the Classic Vibrax in the #3 & #4 size sinks faster which means you have to retrieve it quicker which really works well for migratory brown trout and especially steelhead in the Great Lakes and also for Steelhead and Coho salmon on the west coast (with a single barbless hook there of course).
