Hi Italo, I fish Golden Lake near Killaloe a lot and I am having a difficult time catching Walleye. I typically fish the south side of the lake but have tried other areas with little success. I have trolled worm harnesses, Rapala Tail Dancers, Husky Jerks and have jigged for them. I have tried shallow water and medium depths. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
Posted on September 17th, 2016Hi Rob, I have not fished the lake but I know it is connected at both ends to other lakes. Tough for me to answer your question since it sounds like you are doing everything right.
It may be that the walleye move in and out of Golden Lake and many of them are either in the river or they go back and forth to the other lakes? If I had a few more details I might be able to give you a better answer, like, are you marking walleye but not getting them to hit? Have you caught walleye in good numbers earlier in the year fishing the same areas and using the same techniques?…God bless you.
