Hi Italo, I asked you about a month ago about frenchmans bay and that there were no bass/ pike and panfish like there were in the past years, this problem has not improved. But I have found out that the city of Ajax is dumping something in the water causing the algae to bloom out of control wich is staining the water and harming the fish, there are several law suits trying to stop this. I was told this by a lady who works for the city. Have you heard anything about this? Would you say it would affect fishing and what presentation would you recommend I use for the bass because of this? Could this cause bass to leave the bay’s?Thank you Italo.

I have not hear anything. Strong Algae blooms can have a great effect on shallower water fish populations. Not sure if this is the case in Frenchman’s Bay. I would suggest you try and concentrate your fishing in the bay closer to Lake Ontario, even in the pass for smallmouth. There should be less algae there.
