Hi Italo, how are you? Italo I would like to know how good the breathable waders are compared to neoprene ones. Are they as warm as neoprene for cold weather and cooler for hot weather? Are they worth the extra money? Also what do you wear under your waders in the cold weather to keep your feet and legs warm. Thanks very much. As always keep up the good work you bless us all.
Posted on November 16th, 2007Hi Lorenzo…I\’m well, thank you. Thank you for your encouraging words. I think breathable/lightweight waders are much more comfortable for wading, walking and all-round comfort. Yes, they are worth the money. Also, boot-waders are much more comfortable, they are much warmer (they don\’t “compress” around your feet as do stocking waders), and they are easier to put-on/remove, than stocking-foot waders which require seperate wading shoes and/or gravel-guards. In cold weather I wear long thermal underwater with 3/4″fleece bibs/jacket. I normally also wear thick wool socks. If you are planning on getting new waders I would encourage check-out Dick\’s Sports in Buffalo, NY. I don\’t think you can beat the price/quality for many of their waders, here\’s an example; http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2545323&cp=562550&view=all&parentPage=family&searchId=22377501954 ….God bless you too, Italo
