Hi Italo how are you.hope your having a great year.Just wondering when was the last time you have heard of a drun fish being caught in the bay of quinte area.I heard that someone just caught one in the murry canal between brightin bay and bay of quinte.I always thought they were a salt water fish until i looked it up on the internet and they are a fresh water fish as well.I did not see the fish to confirm but heard one was caught.Keep up the great work that your doing.

Hi Briane…Thank you for your kind words. I am doing well thank you. Last time I talked to a person who had caught a drum was Tues., on the Bay of Quinte while we were there filming. In fact, he caught several up to 13 lb. and kept a fish to eat. I heard back after he tried it and he loved-it and was heading back to the Bay to try and catch more! Your research is correct, there is a saltwater drum most commonly reffered as a Black Drum that can reach weight greater than 70 lb., and the freshwater drum which is commonly called a Sheepshead. Freshwater drum are excellent eating and once cooked, they taste more like seafood. At one time there was a thriving commercial fishery for the in the Great Lakes…God bless you, Italo
