Hi Italo, hope all is well. I would like your input on knots for fluorocarbon. I’ve always used a Palomar knot with great success on smaller diameter line but when I’m tying on fluoro leaders in the 25lb range I find them akward sometimes to cinch down. Which knot would you recommend for a leader in the 25lbs range and also your preferred knot for smaller diameter fluorocarbon. Thanks

Hi Rad, my go-to “tight” knot for both monofilament, fluorocarbon or braid is the Trilene Knot, https://www.animatedknots.com/trilene-knot . If I want my knot to allow the lure to swim freely I use my own Loop Knot, https://www.google.com/search?q=italo+loop+knot&rlz=1C1CHBF_enCA863CA863&oq=italo+loop+knot&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160.6030j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:4fa5419e,vid:znI9bR54U8k

Both can be tightened right down and the tag either facing to the lure, or just our at 90-degrees…God bless you.
