What do you suggest Also I wanted to let you know that your show is by far my favorite on WFN! It is extremely helpful and I make sure to record every episode you have! Thanks a lot.
Posted on April 12th, 2009Hi Tony…A belated Happy Easter to you and your family also, and thank you for your kind and encouraging words. There are many areas to fish from shore and from a boat in the GTA. These areas include all of the tributary streams that flow into Lake Ontario from Oakville to Ajax, ON. Right now all of the streams have runs of migratory rainbow trout that are running up. You can check the Ontario Fishing Regulations to see where the “all-year” open season areas are. After the regular fishing season opens at the end of April, you can fish the upper-stretches of these same tributaries for both migratory rainbow trout and resident brook and brown trout. In the summer time the mouths of all these tributaries have good warm water fishing for a variety of panfish, coarse fish and gamefish. Some of the most popular summer fishing areas are; High Park, Toronto Harbor & Toronto Island, Ashbridge’s Bay, Bluffer’s Park, Rouge Hill Beach Park and Frenchman’s Bay, to name a few. You can also contact the, http://www.trca.on.ca/Website/TRCA/ParksAndCulture/Website.nsf/WebPage/trca__parks_and_culture__activities__fishing__fishing?OpenDocument&ppos=2&spos=5&tpos=0&rsn= , to see some of the Toronto Conservation Areas that offer good fishing. Another excellent site to view a map and full description of other fishing areas in the GTA is, http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/STEL02_163569.pdf . Hope you discover some excellent fishing in the GTA…God bless you, Italo>
