Posted on August 30th, 2013Hi Dean…Nice to have met you. I have not fished that stretch of the French River, ON, but I have a feeling that if you cast spinnerbaits, top-water and “twitch” a Rapala Husky Jerk #14 along the shorelines where you see weed growth mixed with rocks, you will catch a mix of bass, pike and possibly even musky. I have a feeling that the walleye bite will be early & late, and if you are willing to fish a few hours just after dark, that is when you will probably catch the largest walleye, either trolling about 50-100 ydes off the shorelines in water that is 10-20′ deep, just flat-lining with a Rapala Husky Jerk #11, or casting it around a significant structure break like a point going into deeper water, & around a shoal/reef…..God bless you, Italo
