hi i was wondering if u can bring a boat in welland rec cannal i have a 14 foot alum and was wondering if i could catch big pike there i know there is bass carp cannel cat and some told me u can catch walleye there too never seen it but u never know so r boats allowed yes no
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi MIchael…Boating is descouraged on the Welland Recreatioal Canal since there are row-boats that use it and they have regatta-courses set up on the Canal with cable, and markers. The last time I fished from my boat on the canal using only my trolling motor I was asked to leave by a city employee. I understand that they have a bi-law in the City of Welland that you cannot use a motor boat (any size) on the Welland Recreational Canal…God bless you, Italo
