Hi I am a big fan of ur tv show italo sportfishing and I was wondering if you can give me any tips for me. I am only 15 but this upcoming week so the last week of august me and my family are going to georgian bay. I was wondering since ur the fishing pros : would u be able to give me some tips on walleye pike and maybe even bas but mainly pike and walleye. Like were they can be find this period of time best spot and best lures to use to catch them. I would greatly appreciate if u can help me have a great time. Hope to hear from u soon Patrick
Posted on August 25th, 2012Hi Pat….Georgian Bay is a big body of water and I have no idea where you are fishing out of, whether it’s more south like Waubauchene, or further north like north of Honey Harbor. Anyway, your best bet is to cast spinnerbaits along the weedy shorelines for both pike and largemouth bass. For smallmouth bass you can cast crankbaits along the same weedlines where they meet the open water. You can also do well dragging 4″ plastic tubes along the bottom near any rocky outcrops for smallmouth bass in water where it drops form 10-20’…God bless you, Italo
