hey italo just thought id ask you about fishing for walleye in the town of picton and if this last week of november is a good time to shore fish for them
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Alex….I have not talked to anyone recently that has been fishing the Picton channel, or near the “pump-house”(where the channel meets Picton Bay). I have been trolling for them in open water near near Glenora, ON and catching big fish. We launched in Picton last time and on my way out of the marina-basin channel I did notive baitfish “swirling”on the surface. I have a feeling that if the baitfish are in there at night, the walleye are right behind them. Normally this time of the year and right up to ice-up is an excellent time to fish for them after dark, from shore at the above location. The Rapala Husky Jerk or the Jointed Rapala in #11 and clown-color are excellent lures for casting & retrieving just below the surface…God bless you, Italo
