Hey Italo! I’ve seen your show catching walleye in the Welland River in the summer. Great info. What about late Oct. fishing from shore (no boat or depth finder). Any tips or videos (shows) to watch? I have never fished the river in the past. Have lots to learn. Any info would be a great asset. Thanks so much!Posted on October 24th, 2017
Hi Al, thank you for your kind words. I have only caught walleye in the Welland River in the summer during July & Aug. I have never had any luck in the spring, fall, or even through the ice when the river has frozen and the season still open. As in any river system fish move up and down throughout the day and seasonally so it’s really tough to intercept them from shore with any reliability. Most anglers boat fish and many troll. I have had the best success working crankbaits along the 5-10′ depths.
