Hey Italo, im just looking at the new Rapala weedless shad, wondering if you thought they would work good for casting weedlines in bay of quinte/hay bay areas for summer walleye? Thanks!Posted on December 15th, 2015
I’ve used the weedless shad for pike in thick surface weeds like lilly pads and fishing it through thick reeds. It works great. I have not tried it for walleye off the Quinte weelines.
As you probably know my go to crankbait there is the Rapala Tail Dancer #9. I find I can fish it right in the weeds and if it catches a weed with the Sufix 832 braid as a main line, I just snap my rod and cut right through them. When I get to the edge I can work it form 3-4′ below the surface to 12′ deep.
