Hey Italo! Im fishing the bay of quinte in picton and around the areas near by and were not having much luck so far mostly small 311 perch. We have been trying tó find some bass and pike weve been fishing a lot of the shorelines and trying to fish big drop offs in the water with no results however others are ripping them out and a lot of the fisherman Ive been seeing have been fishing in hay bay open water so I was wondering if you could offer some advice. We have been using all sorts of plastic worms and crayfish jitterbugs and husky jerks. Thanks in advance
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Ben…Hay Bay is an excellent area to fish. Best technique is to cast & retrieve a Rapala Tail Dancer #9 in “hot-chub” color alog the weeds in 7-12′ of water. Pike & bass will be feeding around the shallower weeds and walleye around the deeper weedbeds. When I fish the Bay in July I fish the Upper Bay (Big Bay), it always hold good numbers of bass, walleye & pike….God bless you, Italo
