Hey italo Im at the merland park cottages been fishing the last 2 days with liTtle luck how can I find some decent fish besides a perch without a sonar And there are weeds almost on every shore line here and none of my lures are working
Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Ben…Best lure to cast along the outside edge of the shoreline weeds is the Rapala Tail Dancer #9 in the “hot-chub” color. You will primarily catch largemouth bass and pike fishing the Picton-end of the Bay. If you fish the Upper Bay, like Big Bay, you will catch lot’s of walleye. My good friend Gabor Horvat, text’d me on Saturday frustrated that he was not catching walleye at the south end fishing the weeds at Thompson & Sherman’s Point. I directed him to re-launch his boat at Baycrest Marina and Cottages on Big Island (Upper Bay), and to start fishing the weedlines as soon as he comes out of the marina. He text’d me back Saturday afternoo to thank me and to tell me they landed 14-ealleye….God bless you, Italo
