Hey Italo am going up to the Saugreen River this weekend in Sauble Beach area to do some fishing is there still smallmouth bass in the river. What is the best way to fish it at this time of year. Any advise would be great. God Bless
Posted on September 17th, 2013Hi Danny…Yes, the smallmouth bass will still be in th lower setions of the river. Best lures to use are; 4′ tubes, Vibrax #3 spinners & small Rapala crankbaits like the Dives To Thug. There will also be a mix of fresh & darker salmon in and right up to Denny’s Dam. For the salmon you can cast the Rapala J13 in the fluorescent red/gold, & chartreuse/silver color off the pier and in the deeper water pools, or drift-fish with spawn-sacs in the shallower rapids & runs….God bless you, Italo
