Hello Italo! With the bass season opener a few weeks away I’m starting to think about where to spend my first weekend fishing. I am a boatless angler on the shores of Georgian Bay. The last few years I’ve had OK luck targeting smallmouth in the lower sections of rivers but I’m wondering if there is anywhere along the shore of the Bay that I could find some slabs. Southern Georgian Bay is such a huge piece of water – without a boat I don’t even know where to start!

Not sure what part of Georgian Bay, ON you fish. As you know there is very limited public access that is close to parking. I would encourage you to continue to fish the lower section of the many rivers that flow into Georgian Bay from then south-shore. The lower stretches of the Beaver, Bighead, Boyne & Notawassaga Rivers are your best bet.
