Hello Italo I was wondering if it was too early for carp fishing Im not sure if its still spawning season for them. Also do you know if there are any good spots near Toronto that I can go for carp I used to live in St. Catherines so I would go to Charles Daley Park but since Ill be visting my parents this weekend in Scarborough for Mothers Day I was wondering if there was anywhere nearby the GTA that would have active carp right now. I used to go to Rouge River but that was a loooong time ago and last time I was there things were a lot different. Thanks for any suggestionstips you have! Edwin
Posted on May 4th, 2011Hi Edwin…They are just starting to stage for spawning. Water temperatures have been low and water levels high. I am sure that in the next couple of weeks you will see them splashing in shallow-water and spawning. From Scarborough you will need to either go west to Hamilton Harbor or the Grand River, or east to the Whitby/Oshawa areas and fish either Cranberry March, Lynn Creek, or Darlington Bay. A really good spot to fish for them in Oshawa is where Harmony Creek meets the marsh. I used to fish there lot’s when I lived in Oshawa….God bless you, Italo
