Hello Italo, i am going to go fishing for salmon and trout this weekend for 2 days.but i never have to much luck…how many eggs should be put in one spawn sac? and should a leader be used?i will be fishing around the Oakville area…in this area people usually fish with trout floats…thank s for any help and god bless
Posted on September 15th, 2008Hi Patryk…The water is still warm and I don\’t think there are too many salmon or trout running up the tributaries yet. For trout and salmon drift-fishing, most anglers use 3-6 chinook salmon eggs or 8-12 rainbow trout eggs per sack (size really depends on water clarity and depth). It is a good idea to fish with a lighter fluorocarbon leader so that you get a more natural presentation and so that the fish have less of a chance to see the line near the hook….God bless you, Italo
