Hello Italo big fan, I’m heading to the Kawartha Lakes Ontario for the Muskie Opener in a few weeks will also be fishing for some walleye to eat any tips for those species would be awesome thanks Tight Lines Brad
Posted on May 20th, 2018Hi Brad, things are a little behind this spring and you should have excellent walleye fishing fishing right over the new large weedbeds. I would recommend “twitching” either the Rapala Husky Jerk #12, or the Rapala Rip Stop #10 using 10 lb. Sufix 832 braided line and a 12 lb. Sufix fluorocarbon leader.
For musky I would cast large in-line spinners like a Vibrax #4 or #4 and also the Vibrax Musky Buck in bright chartreuse. Musky should still be shallow so working weedlines and even right over the same weedbeds where you walleye fish should produce them. Key will be covering lots of water for them….God bless you,
