Hello Italo As always I enjoy your shows. The wife and I will be in Picton the first week of August for a vacation. What do you recommend we use for tackle and any locations you think will be productive We purchased a set of Advantis rods reels and we plan on using 1520 lb braid line. We plan on fishing for walleye and bass. Thanks.

Hi Mario…Thank you for your kind words. You are going to really like the Avantis outfits, I use them all the time and I think they are one of the best values and quality for the money. I have fished on the Upper and Lower Bay of Quinte for over 38-yrs., and I can tell you from experience that you are going down to Picton at a great time to catch nice-size walleye (4-8lb.), schooling largemouth bass (15-18″), and pike (24-32″). The best and easiest way to catch all these is to cast the Rapala Tail Dancer #9 “hot-chub” color along the weedlines that grow out from shore. One of my favorite stretches to fish is the south-shore going both east and west right from Glenora (just east of Picton, ON.). If the walleye are right in Picton Bay, you can also have excellent fishing along the plentiful weedlines…..God bless you, Italo
