Hello Italo….Are there any ques from nature that let you know when steelhead are heading into the river in numbers, in the spring? Thanks…big fan of your show!Posted on February 14th, 2019
Hi Michael, glad you enjoy our TV shows and thank you for your kind words. The biggest “cue” is rains that happen from the fall through the winter to the spring which raise water levels and draw steelhead in from the Great Lakes. The best fishing is a few days after heavy rains when the high water starts to subside and clears to about 1′ visibility. Remember the last rain we had a few days ago? That’s right, it drew steelhead into the Great Lakes tributaries….God bless you.
