have you tried fishing for Brown trout in the grand river in Kitchener/Waterloo and if so what types of lures or spinners do you recommend

The best locations to fish brown trout in the Grand River is the Fergus/Elora, ON stretch right up to the Dam below Belwood Lake. If you fish the stretches where you can use lures, the Vibarx #1 spinner and Rapala Countdown in the #3 work well. Make sure to check the Ontario Sportfishing Regulations for special single-barbless hook stretches on the Grand River, ON before heading out.
