Hi Mike…You are best off launching your boat at the Chippewa Creek (Welland River), boat launch in Chippewa, ON.. To get there take the QEW through Niagara Falls, ON. On the south end of Niagara Falls you will see the Lyon’s Creek Rd., exit. Take the exit and head east towards the Niagara River. You can’t miss the boat launch, it will be on your left-side. From there when you launch your boat, head east to the river and once on the Niagara, head south towards Fort Erie. One of the most sheltered and productive stretches to drift for smallmouth bass there is drifting right down the middle of the river from the south tip of Grand Island to where the river narrows, always staying in Canadian waters.
