Good day Italo. My father was wanting to head out to Longpoint bay for some walleye but Im a little skeptical in finding such fish anywhere near the inner bay this time of year. Any advice as to wether or not theyd actually be there or where to find them Its not a species I target often so am somewhat of a novice when it comes to that fish. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Ermanno…Long Point Bay is good for bass, pike and perch. Most anglers fish for walleye much further out in Lake Erie for the walleye in water depths from 40-60′. Right now the walleye fishing is getting good again in the Detroit River, especially where the Detroit River originates at the north end of Lake St. Clair. Most anglers use 1/2 or 5/8 oz. jigheads with a 4″ plastic grub and fish it along the bottom in 20-40′ of water on the Canadian side right in front of the Windsor Marina….God bless you, Italo
