Fishing Lady Evely lake in September 2015 staying at ellen island any tips or what color jig heads as we will be using minnow and worms Thanks Rob

Hi Rob, from my experience fishing Lady Evelyn lake in the fall, the walleye can be hard to locate in larger sizes. I found that it was easy to catch “eaters” in the slot, but tough to find the larger fish as they already start to migrate to deeper water. The topwater smallmouth bass fishing though can be awesome. If you want to check out the TV shows we have shot there for both species, just go to our https://www.youtube.com/user/ItaloLabignan , and type in ” italo smalmouth bass fishing redpine wilderness lodge”, (or smallmouth bass), in the search bar at top once you are in the our channel and you can see the techniques & lures we used. 1/8 oz. jigheads in yellow, chartreuse and pink work really well tipped with a whole or half of a nightcrawler. Some people use minnows, but I have always done best using a nightcrawler and fishing my jig right along the bottom on the structure/sand breaks from 7-14′ depths…God bless you, Italo
