Do you think contrast on a lure might create more strikes? For example, lure half black half white. Thank you!Posted on June 22nd, 2017
Hi Angler, depends. If fish are feeding best to use natural colored crankbaits that represent the smaller fish the larger fish are feeding on. If fish are not feeding, than high-contrast color lures, lures that rattle and that have a very erratic action work well. Pike are very aggressive by nature and one of the best lures over the years has been a red/white spoon. No food the pike feeds on is striped, but the high contrast is very visible and draws aggression and a pike strike!
