Dear Italo,Thank you for your constant support and advices to our fishing community. My question is regarding Balsam lake, Kawartha- what would be your advice on walleye fishing approach now until mayflies emergence? The water is mid 60s already and weather is like midsummer !Thank you again,Sincerely,Sergey
Posted on May 28th, 2020Hi Sergey, thank you for your kind words. I would fish a 1/4 or 2/3 oz black buck tail hair jig that has a “banana-head” around the weedbeds and in and out of the weedlines close to the bottom by “snap-jigging” it. This presentation works really well this time of the year in all the Kawartha Lakes including Balsam. Fish with a Passion & God bless you,
