Being new to the centre-in fishing and loving it, I’m wondering when the Atlantic salmon run in the Lake Ontario tributaries?

Atlantic Salmon are the minority out of the Chinooks and Cohos that run up our Lake Ontario tributaries. The strain of Atlantics stocked are a “landlocked” stock, not sea-run stock that run up Atlantic coastal rivers/tributaries starting in June of each year. They will start running in late summer (if the tribs are cold enough and there is enough water), or early fall along with the Pacific Salmon. Most Atlantic Salmon hook-ups are “accidental” while targeting the other salmon species and steelhead.
