Posted on March 27th, 2015Hi Bernie…Not sure what fish you are talking about. A splake is a cross between a brook trout and lake trout. There is no cross breeding that I know of with rainbows. I think you would be best off calling the head office for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources in Peterborough, ON and ask the head biologist your question…God bless you, italo
