Plastic Minnows for Niagara Steelhead.

Posted on April 16th, 2016

For those of you that regularly steelhead fish the Niagara River, you know that live minnows and plastic minnows can work extremely well. Especially as we get into mid-April and May when water temperatures start to warm up in the river and the baitfish & smelts move in.

Matt Cory of TopSet Sport Fishing was out recently and they captured this image of a brightly spotted steelhead that fell for a Fin-S-Fish Minnow fished on a Fin-S-Fish jighead under a float. Next time you fish the Niagara, if the fish stop hitting roe bags and egg imitations, try drifting a plastic minnow, you may get a big surprise!
