I just received my first report of Chinooks being caught off piers by anglers casting at night with glow-in-the-dark spoons in Lake Ontario. I have also received reports that a few salmon have also been caught in the eastern Lake Ontario tributaries.
This is Ian who landed a dark Chinook and this silver fish just a few days ago on the same evening. It’s hard to think of tributary salmon fishing when air temperatures are around 30C, but some fish have started to run already. Time to get the spoons and Rapala J13’s ready!
