Pacific Rock Cod.
Posted on July 20th, 2018I love to fish both fresh and saltwater. Both provide excellent fishing experiences, but I must say I really appreciate the variety of fish you can catch in both the warm and cold oceans.
For example on a recent trip to Sund’s Lodge, BC we had a chance to target bottom fish and were amazed at the color of the different variety of Rock Cod.
For example, look how bright this Yellow Eye Rock Cod above is. It was caught vertical jigging an MFS Baits Jigging Lure in 300′ of water.
Quillback Rock Cod are common all over the Canada’s west coast and come in different color variations. This is one of the most common ones you can catch fishing water less than 100′ deep.
