Olcott & Seabreeze, Upper NY Fishing Update.

Posted on October 1st, 2010

[nggallery id=326]As many tributary fishermen know, the Chinook Salmon run started in most of the Lake Ontario tributaries (both ON & Upper NY), about 4-weeks ago.  Regular rains have brought even more fish into the tributaries and now stream anglers have a choice of fishng the mouths of the tributaries and casting lures, or working the fast-water areas upstream and drifting for fish.   The harbor action in Eighteen Mile Creek, and Oak Orchard, NY is getting better each day.   Anglers can also catch both Chinooks, Rainbows and even some Browns fishing below the Burt & Oak Orchard Dam.  For those of you that also enjoy eating jumbo perch, Wes Walker, owner of the  The Slippery Sinker tackle shop in Olcott, NY also reports that catches have been good.
