While ice anglers in southern Ontario have called a day, northern Ontario anglers are taking advantage of consistent, thick ice conditions and enjoying catching lot’s of fish.
Simeon Kubassek has been getting to know the Lake Superior bays and finding some amazing fishing. Everything from lake trout, walleye, pike, jumbo perch, cisco and whitefish. It looks like the whitefish catching is going to continue to be good at least for the next few weeks. On of the reasons the fishing is so good on Superior’s north shore is the lack of competition. Few fish there see lures or minnow rigs under the ice.
