Northern Ontario walleye & pike fishing report.

Posted on June 27th, 2013

Tyler Howick reports.  We made our annual trip to the north country for some walleye and pike action. The fishing was pretty steady, with a lot of smaller pike and walleye in the mix. We fished points, shoals and weed bed edges in 9-17 feet of water. Most of the fish were caught on jigs and live-bait rigs baited with minnows, worms and leeches, & fished on the bottom. The biggest walleye of the trip was a 27“ that weighed 6lbs.
