North of Superior Bass & Walleye Action.
Posted on June 15th, 2021The weather has been hot and so has the fishing all the way from the southern Ontario to north of Lake Superior.
Our good friends the Kubassek’s were fishing an inland lake north of Thunder Bay, ON and report the fishing was excellent for Smallmouth Bass and Walleye.
They fished artificial lures to catch both species. This was a family affair and Dad Joe had the pleasure of fishing with his son and daughter. That far north the bass and walleye are still in shallow water as they migrate from their spawning areas and disperse throughout a lake.

Best fishing that far north now is to fish shallow bays, shorelines, points and bars in water 7-12′ throughout the day using jigs/plastic grubs, live bait or trolling with Rapalas and shallow diving crankbaits.
Make sure to check the fishing videos on our Italo Labignan YouTube channel and if you have any questions just email them to me at Ask Italo throughout our website.
