Nightime Rapala Walleye action.
Posted on December 19th, 2015With mild temperatures continuing throughout the Great Lakes walleye anglers are taking advantage of early winter walleye fishing. Our good friend Tom Mohr sent us these images and fishing report from his friends Todd, Tim and Tony catching quality walleye on border lakes in southern Wisconsin using Rapala X-Rap #6, and #7 Clacking minnow. Most caught and released, but a few found their way to the filet table.
Walleye fishermen are fishing Rapala body baits and crankbaits from shore when walleye start feeding in the shallows just after dark. Hot-spots are piers at the the mouths of rivers, piers rocky points, and around bridge abutments.
