Niagara River Walleye.

Posted on December 24th, 2016

Many southern Ontario anglers have discovered that the Niagara River produces virtually every species of fish that can be caught in Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. While many anglers there in the summer for bass and musky, the fall for Chinook salmon and migratory brown trout, and late fall to spring for steelhead, they may not realize that is also has an amazing walleye fishery.

Michael Jordan Colton knows this well. I have met Michael at Queenston, ON on a few locations and he really knows the drifts and where the various fish are laying. He knows when the trophy fish move in at night and catches them on crankbaits.

And also how to drift the bottom for them during the day. The one nice thing about the Niagara is that you can fish it from shore, or from a boat all year long!
