Our good friend Daryl Penhale has been slamming fish in the Lower Niagara River.
They have been catching they’re fish drifting roe bags, live minnows and yarn.
Temps have been cold but the fishing remains hot.
Since there is not ice on Lake Erie, there is no ice flowing down the river which makes for safer fishing conditions.
The steelhead have been a mix of bright “chromers” that have just moved in.
Darker male & female steelhead are also plentiful in most of the runs. Early morning has been producing most of the fish.
