BC prime steelhead fishing.

Noel Gyger reports. A few showers with highs to +20 degrees Celsius. Skeena River is in fair fishable shape even with this hot weather and I have reports lots of Steelhead are being caught. Tyee Test Fishery showing a record run of Steelhead this seaon. WOW – this is good news ♥ ♥ ♥ Kalum River Steeelhead fishing is over. Do not target Chinook. Kitimat River is in good shape. I have reports lots of Pink and Chum coming in now. New reg, a person may now retain one Chinook per day BUT is must be under 80cm. Zymoetz (Copper) River is clean and I have a report of Steelhead being caught. Ocean fishing for Salmon (New reg for Douglas Channel, Chinook limit is one per day), Halibut, Prawn, Dungness and Alaska King Crab is good out of the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert.

Big BC Steelhead.

Noel Gyger reports. Mostly sunny with highs to +28 degrees Celsius. Skeena River is in fair fishable shape even with this hot weather and I have reports lots of Steelhead are being caught. Tyee Test Fishery showing a record run of Steelhead this seaon. WOW – this is good news ♥ ♥ ♥  Kalum River Steeelhead fishing is over. Do not target Chinook. Kitimat River is in good shape. Noel Gyger reporst. A mix of sun and clouds with highs to +20 degrees Celsius. Current regs from DFO for Skeena River system as of May 9th. Do NOT target any Salmon, if you accidently catch a Salmon please let them go…and please “keep them wet”. Noel Gyger reports. Sunny with highs to +30 degrees Celsius. Current regs from DFO for Skeena River system as of May 9th. Do NOT target any Salmon, if you accidently catch a Salmon please let them go…and please “keep them wet”.
