Monster Halibut landed near Sund’s Lodge, Malcolm Island, BC.
Posted on August 21st, 2010[nggallery id=300]If you have been following my Blog, you know that Barb & I had a great time filming in British Columbia at www.sundslodge.com . We caught lot’s of Chinook, Sockeye, & Pink Salmon, as well as a variety of bottom-fish including Halibut. We ended up getting enough footage in 3-day’s fishing to produce 3-TV shows!! Well I have to brag about our guide Geoff Duddridge’s recent monster Halibut catch. Earlier this season Geoff was fishing near Sund’s Lodge with his Father & a friend when he tied into this trophy Halibut that measured out to weigh 287.8lb.!! The fish was caught on a spreader fished on the bottom with a chunk of cut-bait. It was a team effort to bring the fish up, it was measured and quickly released. What a go Geoff!!
If you would like to experience trophy fishing for Salmon & trophy Halibut, www.sundslodge.com , offers it all.
