Monofilament vs. Braid for tubing.

Posted on September 23rd, 2017

We all know fishing 4″ tubes along the bottom is one of the most productive presentation for smallmouth anywhere. My favorite tube is the Lunker Tube by Lunker City.

I fish with different anglers, some are traditional and continue to use monofilament, others, have switched to braid. In my opinion using a braid line in the 20 lb. test work well for fishing tubes since it’s a very thin diameter, gets to the bottom quickly and because it’s limp and has no stretch, it detects hits faster and produces really good hook-sets even in deep water!
