Mid-spring good time for trophy Niagara steelhead.

Posted on April 14th, 2016

Even though we had a relatively mild winter, water temperatures in many of our Lake Ontario tributaries have been very cold. This means that some steelhead are still coming up as river temperatures warm-up.

Matt Cory (TOPSET Owner), is featured here holding up his trophy 9 lb. male steelhead he caught while fishing  a bottom-bouncing rig at Queenston, ON. The steelhead fishing from shore should remain good there right through May!
