Michael McNaught reports in on a recent Rice Lake, ON – Perch Derby
Posted on February 11th, 2011February 5th 2011 LetsFish hooked up with Rice Lake Hut Rentals and hosted a small derby on Rice Lake for perch. 16 people participated in the event, which seen 5 people walk away with a prize with 1st place going home with an extra $80.00. The Conditions were perfect for the day having the temperature around 0 all day and sunny sky’s as for the ice we have 16+ inches of ice where we were fishing. We had our best fishing coming out of deep water around 18fow when it came to hooking the bigger perch I suggest to be using small jigging rapalas and spoons tipped with half a minnow have been working well for me.
