Spring has been a little late coming, and that’s good news for tributary steelheaders. Cold and higher water levels are keeping Steelhead in the Great lakes tributaries from flushing back down to the Great Lakes.
Our good friend Simeon Kubassek and his dad Joe have been doing great fishing the tributaries on Lake Superior’s north-shore. Good water levels are demanding a little heavier float-drift set-up and he has been doing well fishing larger floats, a few more split-shot sinkers and of course fresh roe bags. I have a feeling he’ll be getting into fish right into June!!
