I had the pleasure of shooting lot’s of shallow-water largemouth bass footage this past week on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing out of Mashkinonje Lodge, and in a wilderness back lake.
We landed fish on the Rapala Weedless Minnow, and especially on the Lunker City Salad Spoon. The Salad Spoon is made of solid soft-plastic, it is a spoon shape, but looks like a frog going along the surface, and even when it’s swimming sub-surface. The large curly tail really gives it amazing action, much like a small buzz-bait. Mine was rigged with a Gamakatsu #7/0 worm hooked and had a hook-up ration of 90%!
