Little jig, bit Walleye.

Posted on December 17th, 2020

Our friend Scott Clark was catching lots of nice-size Crappie fishing his favorite shoreline hole when just before dark he also started catching small Walleye. Scott Messengered me and asked me if he used larger lures in the same spot would he catch bigger walleye.

My response to him was that I thought it was a “juvenile Walleye” area and in all likelihood he would continue to catch smaller walleye. Well, I was way off. The next night Scott was catching Crappie again using the 2″ Fishing Compete Mike’s Tickler when he latched onto a 6lb. Walleye. By the way he was only fishing the jig about 2′ under his float and using 4lb. test….well done Scott!
